Penne with Five Cheeses
serves 4
Ingredients
1 lb Penne pasta, parboiled 4 minutes, drained
2 C heavy cream
1 C crushed tomatoes in thick tomato puree
1/2 C Romano cheese, grated
1/2 C Fontina cheese, shredded
1/4 C Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
2 T Ricotta cheese
1/4 lb Mozzarella cheese, chopped
6 ea basil leaves, chopped
4 T butter
Instructions
Combine all the ingredients except the pasta and the butter, then add the cooked pasta and mix.
Divide and place into 6 buttered gratin dishes, dot with butter and bake until bubbly and brown, 7 to 10 minutes.
Plate and serve.
